RECOMMENDED TESTS
Heart disease
A blood testing to detect abnormal levels of certain enzymes in the bloodstream and help to determine your risk for coronary artery disease and heart attack.
A blood analysis can offer many clues about your heart health. A cholesterol test can provide an indication of having a high heart attackrisk. Other parameters tested can help your doctor determine if you have heart failure or are at risk of developing plaques in your arteries (atherosclerosis).
A cholesterol test, also called a lipid panel or lipid profile, measures the fats (lipids) in your blood. The measurements can indicate your risk of having a heart attack or other heart disease. The test typically includes measurements of:
Total cholesterol. This is a sum of your blood's cholesterol content. A high level can put you at increased risk of heart disease.
Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol. This is sometimes called the "bad" cholesterol. Too much of it in your blood causes the accumulation of fatty deposits (plaques) in your arteries (atherosclerosis), which reduces blood flow. These plaques sometimes rupture and lead to major heart and vascular problems.
High-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol. This is sometimes called the "good" cholesterol because it helps carry away LDL cholesterol, keeping arteries open and your blood flowing more freely.
Triglycerides. Triglycerides are another type of fat in the blood. High triglyceride levels usually mean you regularly eat more calories than you burn. High levels increase your risk of heart disease
CreatineKinase (CK) also known Creatine Phosphokinase (CPK) measure the levels of enzymes and proteins that are linked with injury of the heart muscle.Injuries from a heart attack cancause CPK or CK levels in the bloodstream to rise. Cardiac enzyme studies must always be compared with your symptoms, your physical examination findings, and electrocardiogram. Cholesterol-lowering statin medications can reduce LDL cholesterol but can also reduce CRP levels. Talk to your doctor if you're concerned about your CRP level.
SGOT is an enzyme that is found the liver and heart cells. SGOT is released into blood when the liver or heart is damaged. SGOT levels are elevated with liver damage or with an insult to the heart (for example, from a heart attack). Some medications can also raise SGOT or even an infection may have an influence.

What is a Full Check-Up?
You Doctor may request a full check-up. A Full Check-Up refers is a series of o blood test that includes
It's important to remember that one blood test alone doesn't determine your risk of heart disease and that the most important risk factors for heart disease are smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes.
